Description of the Propaganda
I saw this metaphoric picture of a Jew. In this photo there was an octopus covering up the entire world. It had the Star of David above its head so people would know that it was a "Jew". It had a big nose and was ugly. Since Jews are supposedly evil the octopus was squirting its blinding ink from its tentacles onto the people.
Message
The message of this picture was to give fear and make people afraid. They did this by showing the octopus blinding people. This picture is also supposed to show that Jews are taking over the world, even though they weren't. This was showed by making the octopus cover the entire the world. They really just wanted everybody to think that the Jews were dangerous.
The picture is really just saying that Jews are evil and poison and that everyone should be frightened by them. Anybody would believe something like that because of course, one Jew can take out the whole world. I really don't know why anybody actually believed all of the crape they heard. Propaganda Technique 1: Make it Big
The picture shows this by placing the octopus around the whole world. They make the octopus huge so it can show that it is big and evil. It's showing that the "Jew" has control over everything and everyone. Since the octopus is squirting its poisonous blinding ink it also shows that its going to blind the people.
Propaganda Technique 2: Make it Simple
The picture is simple basically anyone can understand it. It is a yucky big-nosed octopus taking over the world. People may not understand that the evil octopus actually symbolizes a Jew.
Pretty good explanation overall. I would like to hear more analysis of how this is a simple idea. You say it's easy to understand, but then you say that people might not understand that the octopus represents Jews. It's a contradiction.
