Movie Classics

Since we are doing a free post for extra credit I wanted to do it on movies. I'm really into watching movies, I'm going to be honest I love old movies! My family watches them so I grew up with them. One of my favorite movies is Bringing up baby a movie made in 1938 with my all time favorite actor and actresses Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn. It's just so funny and it has a leopard who could ask for more! If you want to learn more about this movie click here. One of my other favorites is a scary movie called The Uninvited made in 1944. It's not something you will jump out of your seat but it can be creepy, it has a great story line as well. If you want to learn more about this film click here. Last but not least is The Rebel Without a Cause made in 1955, with the great James Dean! This movie is just about a young man finding his way in a new town. If you want learn more about this movie click here. There are so many good movies like Meet me in St. Louis with Judy Garlend, or The Human Comedy, with Mickey Rooney. I cant name all of them but there are so many more good classic movies!All of the movies that I had list are amazing so check them out.

Surfing Goat!!

    Goats are usually known for eating grass and there wool, but have you ever heard of a goat surfing!? It seems impossible, but its obviously not for Goatee. Goatee is a goat who can actually surf! Her owner, Dana, originally bought he goat to help clear up unwanted weeds around his garden, but they grew really close. He would take Goatee shopping, for his nights out, and the beach! Is that even legal? Anyway, he would take Goatee to the beach and found out that she loved to surf with him!! By the way this goat is only TWO YEARS OLD!! I think that's amazing! They usually go surfing at California's Pismo Beach. They have gotten famous all over the world! You can also see videos of Goatee surfing on Youtube, just type in The Surfing Goat, Goatee & me.

Animal Crappers

We were suppose to write about healthy eating or something like that, so I'm gonna write about healthy eating for an elephant. So I saw this elephant video where an elephant basically put his trunk up another elephants butt. That is pretty nasty but it was funny at the same time. The elephant went horns deep with his trunk and then pulled out some poop. I thought yea that's pretty nasty and got a little grossed out but then I saw the elephant starting to eat the poop. He wasn't just taking it all down at once either he was savoring it eating it piece by piece. So that is my healthy elephant snack. you can see the video here . It's so nasty!

On the news I saw this family who got burned to death. There were to young boys in the accident. There was this guy who was in a custody battle with his ex father in law for the two boys because he was charged with the disappearance of his wife a few years back and lost the children. The kids were over for a visit one day with a child services lady. When she took them up to the door the dad closed it on her face. She felt worried and that the kids wouldn't be safe so she called the police and they said that they couldn't do anything about it. Then the lady started to hear screaming coming from inside of the house and before, she new it the house was on fire. They later found out that the two boys were chopped to pieces with an ax and then the father lit the house on fire killing all three of them.I don't know how people can just kill other people and I really don't get hoe they can kill their own children. Fur-Wearer Beware

Ohio animal-rights activists offered $850 for anyone interested in killing fur wearers for her. She posted on her Facebook saying, "I would like to create an online community on Facebook whi8ch [sic] would allow me to find someone who is willing to kill someone wearing fur toward the end of October 2011 or early November 2011 or possibly in January 2012 or February 2012 at the latest,".

I mean, really? What kind of idea is that? ``I am going to kill someone just cause they wear fur and wearing fur means killing animals``. That is so stupid! It`s kind of ironic that she wants to save animals but she is killing people that are killing animals.

You can`t kill everyone who hurts an animal! People eat animals like chicken, beef, pork, turkey, and etc. You can`t kill them all! And its a dumb idea to kill them too. Protest or something.

I understand that some animals are becoming extinct so try to save the ones that are almost over the edge.

It`s crazy what people can do these days just to get their way.

Health

   This may or may not sound like your normal teen, but I'm always nagging at my mom and dad to eat better, but all i eat is junk food!

    I think if we cut out greasy foods and soda we all would lose weight.

    I mean take my dad for example, the doctors said if he didn't watch what hes eating, or he could be a diabetic.

 all he did was cut out greasy foods and sodas and didn't eat a lot and in a 5 month period hes lost about 50 pounds!

 God, I would love to lose weight like that!(:

Death of four year-old Gabriel Trujillo

On Valentines Day, Gabriel Trujillo was beat to death by his very own grandma!

grandma left, and right is Gabriel. look at him he's so adorable, who could hurt him?!

Doris Becky Trujillo, a 60 year old woman (Gabriel's grandma) has had custody of Gabriel and his two sister's for the past year.

Gabriel was killed by: blunt force injuries to the head and neck, and the Adam's County Coroner's office has ruled his death a homicide.

People never payed attention to the signs he was being abused like in January this year Gabriel had a broken arm and bruises to his face and lip.

I honestly cant believe someone would beat a 4 year old little boy to death!
I may sound mean n harsh, but she deserves what she gets, no matter what it is!

Bobcat Shot on Saturday

On Saturday in El Paso Texas a Bobcat was shot for wandering in family's backyard. Apparently the wildlife game warden said he had signs of "rabies" in the video I watched of the innocent Bobcat he looked perfectly fine. Honestly It didn't seem like he had any intention of hurting anyone.

The Wildlife Game Warden said they couldn't get a hold of the state vet so therefore they couldn't get the tranquilizing gun. If they got a call saying there is a bobcat they should of tried everything before to get there hands on a tranquilizing gun.They should have backup for the state vet for these kind of situations.

I think a gun shot should be the last resort and I think they could have down more and It wasn't like he was hurting anyone. Everyone was fine. They got the test reports back for rabies and it was negative he didn't have rabies at all! Next time I hope they are prepared. What a gorgeous creature, I hope he rests in peace. 8 year old student who was shot.

When you go to school do you ever have to worry about getting shot? A third grader who was 8 was shot by a fellow student at Bremerton Elementary school in Seattle Washington. The gun was found after she was shot. They haven't said if she survived or not. An ambulance quickly arrived and rushed her to a local hospital. The school was put on lock down and was canceled for the week. The police don't know how the gun was brought to school but they are still working on the case. The internet is taking over for a lot of things. They are closing down book stores because more people buy their books online. Many people buy things from stores online and get them shipped to they’re house sometimes just because they don’t want to go to the store. I don’t think that Facebook sucks but there are people who tell me that they hate it. I think it is sometimes bad for people because they get a little too attached. Old people are using the internet or that’s what they call it, even though the only thing they know how to use is Facebook. I like YouTube because you can see funny videos and hear music and things like that, but sometimes people put inappropriate or really stupid things on there. I like the internet and I use it for things other than Facebook.

FACEBOOK!!!

I am really mad today because it`s been raining all day today and all the girls at my school are scared of rain! They scream and run like its poision pouring from the sky, and then I have to do this post and A LOT of other homework.

I don`t really know/care about how Facebook works because I am too ``young`` to have an account on it. think its kind of dumb to post pictures of your-self on the Internet, and tell people who you are and where you live and all that stuff. It`s sad how many people died last year because of what someone else posted on their Facebook account for the WHOLE world to see. People spread lies about others on Facebook and Facebook does not anything to stop it.

Facebook is the MOST popular site in this world. It should have some defence for their users. People post stupid stuff on it everyday about anything. I think Facebook is a stupid because it`s just this cheap site that people use to show other people how stupid they are. Half the people can`t spell and have really poor grammar. I mean how stupid can you get! At least put a spell check and grammar check thing on it!

I think even when I am old enough I would skip the part of my life where I create a Facebook account because it is so NOT worth the time.

Negatives of Social Networking.

Are you a fan of Facebook, Twitter, Skype, Bebo, or Myspace? Most everyone is! But some people don't know the dangers of being on these kind of websites. Many kids and teenagers have been kidnapped, harrased, and killed because of giving too much information away on Facebook. Personally, I think that Facebook is too dangerous and scary for kids my age. That is also why I don't have a Facebook. A 12 Year old girl felt ugly and worthless. She had a fake name and picture on Myspace because she didn't like how she looked. A man who was 29 became her friend on Myspace and began to talk to her. He pretended to be nice and got her to reveal information like where she lived. So she agreed to meet up with him at the park. Little did she know that she would never return. Sarah's mom didn't know where she was. Days past by and the police finally found her. She was dead in a ditch. The man sexually abused her and killed her. That is one reason why I don't like social networks. But if you are on a website like Facebook, remember not to give out precious information. Or trust people online who you don't know. The internet is a scary place. P.s That story was told to me by my mom. I tried looking it up to find more information but couldn't find anything.

Social Networking

This topic can go both ways. It's cool to connect with your friends and see what's going on with everyone's life. It can come with a price unless you are very careful.

Social Networking can be very scary sometimes you can get some weird creeps on the internet. People are not always who they say they are. Once you talk to one of those creeps you opened a gateway for them. They will know they could talk to you now. You have to be careful on who you talk to and what you put online.

If you put on a bad message or photos you can't take it back because they will stay online no matter what you do. Someone could be really hurt of what you put online and you know what is worse?. You could be hurt. There has been numerous cases about people being cyber bullied or stalked or worse death, yeah it's that serious.

I know I made it sound like social networking is bad but of course you could go on Facebook,twitter, YouTube, My Space, and any other social networking site just be aware of what you are doing. Even though my parents always tell me that social networking and texting ruins being social because, you could just talk to someone face to face and not by any device. I do agree with that even though I still do it why shouldn't I just talk to some one face to face? Most likely I will get to know that person better.

BANNANAS

 

Do you like bananas? I dont really like bananas, but thats what monkeys eat, and a monkey is my favorite animal. So were going to talk about bananas.  
    Obviously bananas have a lot of potassium. Potassium is an essential ingredient to keep your heart and nervous system good. It also helps you keep a proper muscle contraction. If you just have one or two bananas a day you will already be going over your dailey dose of potassium, which is a good thing.
    Bananas contain tryptophan. Tryptophan is one of 20 amino acids which is a building block of protein. Tryptophan causes a soothing affect on the brain which makes you a little more calm. So if your stressed out then eat a banana, it doesn't help a whole lot but it helps you calm down. I think thats pretty interesting, even though i dont like bananas.
    Bananas are healthy for you, and lots of people like them. Which is really good that bananas are always available at the grocery store.

Breakfast

Breakfast I know everyone says it is the most important meal of the day but I don't like it. I don't like eggs, cereal, sausage well at least sausage that is not turkey. Syrup is alright I just don't like to much of it because, I don't like the way it smells. I'm really picky when it comes to food. Luckily, my family is full of great cooks.

I don't skip breakfast though because I will be to hungry later on. Well, what do I eat for breakfast? Fruit and a lot of bread, even though too much bread isn't good for you. I have an apple every day to keep the doctor a way and when I can get my hands on them I will eat a pomegranate.I'm really into berries my fridge is full of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and I love cherries! Then I will make myself a good smoothie! Smoothies are so filling too. I'm a fruit eater. For bread I have a lot of croissants, toast, blueberry muffins, and whole grain waffles with peanut butter and flax sead on top. No syrup.

I'm not to much of a red meat eater so I have a lot of turkey sausage ,or soy chorizo, veggie patties, tofu all that good stuff.;]

Lastly, if I don't want of any of that I will switch it up and have lunch for breakfast then I will have two lunches, but that is only when I really don't want breakfast.

German Shepards are the cutest!

I love dogs! They are one of my favorite animals on planet Earth.
A couple years ago my mom, sister, and I were driving around and we saw the cutest German Shepard puppy running around on the street. My mom didn't know if he was nice, so she stuck her hand out the window and he licked her hand, so we knew he was nice. My mom went around to different shelters to see if they could take him. It was pretty late so there wasn't any open. So we took him home for the night. My other dog loved him! The next day my mom found a shelter that could take him. I was so sad because he was the cutest puppy. That summer my sister and I were on vacation with my grandparents but when we came home the puppy was out in our backyard because my parents decided to adopt him. We were so happy! We decided to name him George but we also call him Jorge. Then 4 months after that my other dog died. We were really sad but George helped us get through his death. We call George a gift from Heaven because he came right before my other dog died. And if we didn't adopt George we wouldn't have gotten another dog. I love my dog he is the best. He is a German Shepard Lab mix.

   I am Katelyn Marie, the daughter of Troy and Cynthia Weekley. i was born February 27,1998, in Susanville, CA.

   I just wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my daddy who has taken care of me (with help from mom of course) and help make me who i am now.

   My daddy is turning 32 today; Daddy, just think 18 more years and you'll be 50!!

   i also want to say that i never say how much i love or appreciate my parents. i love them so much and i am a very lucky kid to have parents that care so much!

   My mom and dad got married when i was two years old, on March 25, 2000.

   then three years after that, when I'm a month away from my birthday, the worst thing happened to me (no i didn't die) a little baby boy was born... my baby brother David, who I love with all my heart on January 8th, 2003.

   We moved to Upland and that's when i met all the awesome people i have ever since fifth grade!

   I may have my problems but at least i know i'll be able to come home to an awesome, crazy, and loving friends and family.

     I LOVE YOU ALL!<3
